1. Manali to Leh Highway:

The road trips taken in Indian Himalayas are known for their fascinating and godlike landscapes. It is said to be of the highest and toughest roads to travel. This route offers scenic beauty. It has a length of 479 km with mean altitude in between 3 to 4 km above sea level. The road is open only for about 5 months a year which is mostly in summers and mid-October, depending on the weather. The journey approximately takes two days with one stopover for rest and food. The Manali-Leh Highway scenario gives the excitement of planning, adventure and bliss while riding and capturing memories for lifetime.


2. Mumbai to Pune Expressway :

The first ever six-lane concrete, high-speed, access controlled tolled expressway of India is the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, constructed in 2002. This road is 93 km long and passes through the mountain tunnels, valley and majestic hills of Lonavala and Khandala. It is counted to be one of the best road trips in India.


3. Pamban Bridge:

Ever pictured driving yourself on a path with water all around you? Precisely this is the place where you will find the endless ocean and the moist breeze. The Pamban Bridge is a cantilever bridge that connects Pamban and Tamil Nadu, India. There are stories about a man letting his son die to save the lives of thousands while working on the bridge. It is a must to-be-traveled road for bikers to be mesmerized by the surrounding blue waters. The stretch is about 13.5 km long and can be covered in about 20 minutes, but it is a once in a lifetime kind of experience.


4. Ahmedabad to Kutch:

Adore the white beauty of Rann of Kutch. A short weekend getaway while you explore these ravishing roads for 400 kilometers. All you need to keep in mind is one thing on this ride which is to leave a bit early, as this road is a little savage. Local handicrafts from the land of Kutch will attract you towards it. The Hodko Village is famous for the local craft shopping and the Wild Ass Sanctuary. You should take this ride in the land of contrasts.


5. Shillong to Cherrapunji:

The drive from Shillong to the wettest place in India, Cherrapunji is undoubtedly one of the best trip taken. One of the most pleasant drives on the road trip circle, the journey is worth everything. The glimpse of the well known ‘Bara Pani’ is a factor which makes you fall out of words and in awe of nature’s beauty.


6. Mumbai to Goa:

This highway can probably be called the Father of Indian road trips. A ride with the sun, the sea and the sand around with the beautiful road will inspire you to gear up for the fun coming up. The way from Mumbai to Goa across the NH 17 is a smooth and takes about 10 hours of travel time. Leave Mumbai early in the morning and reach Goa by the evening is recommended before the party begins!

7. Salem to Kochi:

It comes amongst the busiest road in the Indian Highway system. This highway is the National Highway that experiences the highest volume of night traffic in India. This road is also known as NH 544, and is 340 km long. You can stop to kill your hunger at Saravana Bhavan, which has a chain of vegetarian restaurants offering South Indian cuisine in different parts of India.
